Hi not sure if I m doing this right but as your guide has been invaluable and I have read so much information on here that has helped me in my PIP application, yesterday I rang DWP to ask for a mandatory reconsideration after receiving 8 points for care and 4 for mobility , I also requested SAR on medical report and any other documents used in my case , I will also follow this request up in writing however the lady on the phone said in order to commence the request for reconsideration I would have to answer some questions , I replied is this a new thing ? As I ve not read anything about this, and no problem I will just apply in writing , she stated it was a new thing the DWP were doing and basically she went threw every point asking if I was disputing the initial award and if I had issues with any of the unawarded area s. At the end she read back a statement I had made to ensure it was in my own words and reflected why I was unhappy with the decision . Has any one else experienced this different approach ?
