MANDATORY RECON & APPEEAL FOR ESA

More

hi I have recently received a mandatory reconsideration for on overpayment of ESA & I have now made an appeal, as they have constantly ignored my calls & letters to ask for info. I have also logged a complaint. Can the appeal make the case worse or would it just mean that the overpayment on the mandatory recon would stand??

Hi DC,

I can't think of any way in which an appeal could make things worse. It should be a case of looking at the facts and deciding whether or not there was an overpayment that is recoverable.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

thankyou so so so very much, I suffer from severe anxiety & depression & in constant physical pain. Keep up this service, you could & probably have saved peoples life. The way DWp operate is verging on criminal, & I used to work for them. They have no concern about what effect their decisions have & don't care. I like many others, completely cannot cope awaiting that brown envelope. But recently I received one from Barclaycard in an exact same size and colur, offering a balance transfer or similar, obviously designed to stand out. They donot understand how much anxiety that can cause. DWP can no longer use the brown envelope & Barclaycard need taking to court. JUst thought id point this out in the hope it may give even 1% a recustion in anxiety. Please put this on your forums just to let others know. ANd thankyou again for your quick reply
