Hi Gordon
What I meant was are there any circumstances I can extend the time I have to send my further evidence off to the DWP with me going into hospital ?
Thanks

There aren't any, all I can suggest is that you contact the DWP to see if they will wait longer.

Thanks Gordon
I have called them and it has been logged onto my file that I am going into hospital and I will send more info when I get out,
The lady sent the update to the decision maker who will be reviewing my claim so now they are aware of my circumstances.
Regards
Stephen

Hi Gordon
I had my operation which was to remove a very painful testicle, The op was not without risk and only had a 50/50 chance of success but it was my last option after 2 years 8 months of pure agony, One of the risks is nerve damage and it appears this has happened to me as I was told after the op,
And after anesthetics had worn off I could certainly tell this because the pain is even worse which means the condition I was assessed was has now worsened,
What I want to ask is Because the pain is now even more debilitating then before the operation and the fact I have a MR pending what are the implications of this ?
Do I have to start a claim from scratch ? do I continue with my claim which will be backdated to September if I were to win ?
Please advise
Thanks
Steven

Any deterioration in your conditions or capabilities that has occurred since the Decision was made cannot be considered as part of the MR or an appeal if you go on to make one.
They would be considered as part of a new claim for PIP, but be aware that making a new claim will result in a new Decision that will limit any award that might be made as a result of your MR or an appeal.
