Can anyone help me please, i recently been awarded PIP standard rate for daily living, i was recently on DLA low care and mobility component. The process was really quick without an assessment..Last March i got my ESA assessment form which was fillied in and sent off before 21st April. However i have not had any word back on that. I know that getting PIP, when you are on the low rate care and mobility is difficult. I am wondering if the two are connected. I know some people who got their form after me and have been through their assessments. I have waited 7 months, and i have been in bits waiting. I don't want to phone as i am afraid they might get me in for a medical, can someone please give some advice please, thank you.

I'm afraid there are considerable delays in the ESA assessment process with members reporting delays of six to nine months or even longer.
It is possible for a PIP report to be used in regard an ESA claim, but this information will not be made available to Maximus so any decision that they might make about your needing a face to face assessment will not be effected by your PIP award.
You can contact Maximus for a idea of wait times in your area, this will not have an impact of whether you are required to attend a F2F.
