I have just sent my ESA50 in 3 days ago and am wondering how long this takes to get processed. For some reason I was supposed to have been reviewed 2 years ago and I was missed. I am 64 in a week and therefore am supposed to get SP in a year, I wonder if they take age and natural progression of disease into account or whether everyone is fit for work. I followed the guides as I did in 2012 and was successful then into getting into the support group... so thank you for that... am going to be very nervous for the next few ........however long it takes.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Members are reporting considerable delays in the ESA Assessment process, with waits of six months not being unusual and even longer in some areas.
I'm afraid no account of your age will be taken, ESA awards are made by the claimant showing that they meet the criteria for one.

Just to add, further consternation and worry as I received a letter that I had not sent it in. Despite the fact I sent a Special Delivery bundle and signed for.....made me very nervous. They had apparently received it but it took long time to check...the letter had crossed!
