My GP request for a paper based assessment was refused and I had a home assessment today. I just didnt get the chance to help them understand my difficultlies. It took an hour and 45 minutes. I was asked about going out but not about traveling to places I knew or didnt know just about anxiety leaving the house. The exercises were very easy and seemed pointless to me. Put my arms on my shoulders and I moved my head to one side and partially to the other. I was asked if i takemigrain medication daily but it is abortive medication not profilactic. He had the list of medication from my GP anyway.... just seemed superficial and not gear neutrally to help me explain my problems. My diagnosis is cervical and axial dystonia which has caused a significant scoliosis. I am really upset about missed opportunities.

I hope you will understand but I've given up trying to predict a result from the assessment, we've seen the worst result in the highest award and the best in no award whatsoever.
You should be able to request a copy of the report by contacting the DWP office dealing with your claim in a couple of days, the Decision shoul only be 2-4 weeks.

Many thanks for ypur reply. I do understand I cant imagine how anyone might make a prediction from such an odd array of interview techniques. I was just dissapointed and it was so odd that I had to explain what medication was for and how to be taken. It is most helpful to know I can request a copy of the report in a few days. Thank you for that practical suggestion.
