There is no reason to worry about phoning the Tribunal Service for an update on when your appeal might be heard.
The article you are referring to was about the DWP reviewing previous awards, it is not relevant your current appeal, but I can tell you, if the Judge of your hearing has concerns about your current award then they must warn you about this so that you can withdraw your appeal.

Providing you are happy that your appeal has been accepted.
Are you making a submission to the appeal?

Pam wrote: Hi again Gordon. Many thanks for your prompt response. I don't really understand what you mean. I submitted my appeal April/May last year, with a lot of help from your site, and all I have been told was that I should wait for the tribunal date. I would be grateful if you could clarify what you mean. Thanks, Pam
You have the opportunity to provide more testimony and evidence for the appeal, you do not have to do this if you are happy that what you provided as part of your original claim and MR cover all of the issues, but you should at least consider whether you want to do this.
