some advice for a friend regarding ESA? was created by davetaylor
Hi I hope im allowed to do this, im asking a question on behalf of a friend. I apologise in advance if im not allowed
here goes, my friend is on "old style ESA ie before last years change, she is in the WRAG group. she has just received a ESA 50 form to complete, after being on ESA about 1 year. what will happen to her? will she continue to be paid her current rate? (just over £100, including her WRAG add on?) .. or will she fall back to the assessment rate for 13 weeks, until they decide the outcome?...really worried and confused she is. She also receives on top of her ESA the SDP as she gets low rate care of PIP
thanks in advance D

Their current award will remain in payment until a new Decision is made, if they remain in the WRAG then they will continue to be paid for it.
