Re your email No one worse off due to 1.6 million pip reviews. When Sarah Newton said 'Nobody is going to be called in for a face to face assessment and nobody is going to have money taken away from them.' This is very unclear. Does it mean - 1) There will be no more face to face assessments ever? 2) Is she talking about DLA to PIP assessments? 3) Is she talking about ESA assessments? 4) Many people have already had a PIP assissment. Does it mean those still on DLA will not have to attend a face to face assessment? She has not made this clear. Can you let me know what the situation is. 5) With regard to the second part of her statement - nobody is going to have money taken away from them. I would point out that the DWP have said that with PIP the money you get may be more than DLA or it may me less. This info comes in a letter from the DWP. So it would seam that she is incorrect in what she says.
The simple answer is none of the above, you have misread the news item (along with a number of others), this is about the reassessment of existing PIP awards due to the changes to the Going Out activity.
It has nothing to do with current or future assessment, it is entirely separate.
