Hi, How long after sending in PIP form, might one hear when home assessment date would be please? Asking about Oxfordshire which is ATOS areas I believe. Also how far ahead might that date be? Anyone have any recent knowledge of this please? I heard a home visit will be longer wait than a centre one, and told it could even be May. Is it common to be offered an assessment at a centre even if asked for home one and sent GP's letter with the form? Thank you!
We don't have regional information but I would expect an appointment for an assessment to be issued in 3-5 weeks for an appointment in 1-2 weeks.
A home assessment will depend on the GP letter, it needs to b unambiguous about the requirement for a home assessment, any suggestion that you can attend will likely mean that one will not be offered, so if it says "may have problems..." or "could have.." or "can travel by tax..." then you are going to have problems.
