Hi,

My partner received a letter from HMRC about tax credits, asking her to consider a change in her circumstances.

She's claiming as a single parent.

I spend a few nights at her place. So they're asking if she should be claiming as a couple.

Even though I have my own place, my own bank and my own GP all registered at my place.

I'm just registered as a driver on her car, not the main driver etc.

I don't think we need to inform them of a change, what do you think?

I'm afraid we do not deal with Tax Credits on the forum, get face to face advice by doing an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county.
