Hello everyone, I had my medical review today and it was the worst I've ever had. The lady who did it was very dismissive and at times confrontational (couldn't seem to understand why someone depressed wouldn't want to get out of bed and have a shower) She barely asked about my depression and focused on my anxiety, then at the end didn't offer me a chance to ask questions just opened the door and pointed me out. I'm not great in social situations at the best of times and this was awful. The whole experience has left me feeling down and hopeless again, so that's a big positive thumbs up to the DWP and Maximus.
I was wondering if I was allowed to request a copy of my medical report before I get the decision? I Know there will be things in there that are wrong and I want a head start on picking that wretched thing apart with a fine tooth comb.
Yes, you can request a copy of the assessment report providing you are not in Northern Ireland, contact the DWP office dealing with your claim at the end of the week, it usually takes a couple of days for the report to be booked in to the DWP systems.
