PIP reduced to standard from enhanced was created by louise
Hello,
my sister has mental health issues and recently had a f2f PIP review and on 28th April letter came and she was reduced from enhanced to standard (but given basic mobility which she did not have before). Did not contest it.
We have just noticed that her ESA payment has not gone in for month of May.
I am concerned that she will lose the 'extra money because you are severely disabled' (64.30 a week) which she gets with ESA. I have looked online to find out if a person on PIP standard rate is entitled to it but can't find info. She lives alone and no one receives carer's allowance. I live abroad and she has no one to help her. She tried calling all day yesterday but could not get through. She is not good at communication and i would like to call but impossible from abroad.
Can anyone help?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Louise
Any PIP Daily Living award enables payment of the Severe Disability Premium, so there should be no impact to her ESA payments.

thanks very much for clearing that up. Much appreciated. Info online is not clear at all.
Hopefully will sort itself out. ESA people told her to check the account on Monday.Fingers crossed.
