Thanks Gordon
I will read that in a bit
but I am SO scared of them changing the length back to what the assessor suggested - i.e 18 months!
or worse - they take the care away all together
i cannot afford to lose that
it is breaking me - and i have nothing to deal with compared to many people
but i just feel battered - if we give you this and you question it you may lose it
if you do that it proves the other
it is messing my head up so badly
last time i was driven to appeal because i know there are so many who cant and it is a RIGHT that people should have
but it is frightening
i cant do this

he was also arguing that the incidents were not 'the majority of the time'
but they happen at any time on any unfamiliar trip
the reason it is not all or most of the time is because - like most people - i am not needing to go to unfamiliar places most of the time
but ALL of the time i do, i need support
am trying to read the ruling but currently doing my head in

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I can't provide any guarantees over the award that has been made, the removal of an existing award is rare but it does happen, we see one maybe every month or two. I think that a reduction in the length of an award is actually very unlikely, I'm not sure that we have actually seen this happen.
Majority of days legally means the majority of days in a year, so you need to talk about the problems that you would have if required to go out as well as the problems that you have when you go out. This is really only an issue if you have a fluctuating condition and there are days when you can go out alone.

I do go out alone
I have no choice
and that is ok some of the time
locally
familiar places
even though even that causes distress some of the time
but unfamiliar places never - not ever
thank you for your replies and i totally understand you cannot make the decision for me
have just spoken to my mh worker because i am in such a state
she has said put it all away for now
so that is what i will do

Hi to all,
I really don't understand why PIP review forms are sent out to claimants only for the claimants to be recalled for another gruelling assessment. Furthermore I wonder how many subscribers on here have actually filled out the pip review form and never got called up for re-assessment. It's like dammed if you do and dammed if you don't lol. ie if you say there's no change they reassess you, and if you say there's been a change for the worse, they reassess you. You couldn't make it up if you tried.
