Hi i have just had a telefone call off pip cancelling my appoitment 4 hours before i was ment to go for my review . They have changed it to the next day . My son has taken the day off work to be able to take me and all i have done is constantley worked my self up in to a frenzy today . Now they have cancelled it my son will have to take the day off tomm ( if they let him ) can they just drop this on you .
They usually overbook the appointments and therefore unable to deal with staff absences.
You did not have to accept the appointment for the next day as you are entitled to seven days written notice but having accepted it you are now committed to attending.
If you have not changed the appointment yourself, then you are still entitled to do this once, so can rearrange for a date more convenient for your son to attend with you.
