Do decision makers go with assessors points?

Hi, having read my assessors report (which is factual and correctly reflects me) I notice that she has marked me enough points for standard living and enhanced mobility. At the moment I am getting standard mobility and whilst my condition has deteriorated so I was hoping for standard living , I was surprised by the enhanced mobility. Do the decision makers usually go with the assessors report? The only other info will be from my GP and he has always been supportive. Just wondered if anyone had experienced the same. I actually marked myself as points for standard mobility but to be honest, she is correct! It’s now been 8 weeks since my assessment (it was a review) so might have a while to wait yet before I find out!

Decision Makers usually follow the recommendation of the assessor, however, if you have marked yourself lower on your claim form then this might be a reason for only a Standard award, you will have to wait and see what the Decision is.

I'm afraid this part of the process has slowed down considerably and it could be as long as 10 weeks before you hear.

Thank you Gordon, I will wait and see what they say. It’s my own fault for not fully considering how far I can walk, though I did say I had got worse (but ticked the same box!)
Might be at least a couple more weeks until I hear anything then, I will let you know when it arrives so you are aware of the review waiting time. Incidentally when I phoned they said the first time PIP assessments and decisions were taking priority and I have to say that is the correct thing to do. I reallly should have asked for a reassessment before!
