Review form compared to original PIP Questionnair? was created by Atebite
When claimants have a PIP claim and award, and then in years time a review of the claim is to be done,
a) then what is the review questionnaire like compared to the questionnaire of the original PIP (How your medical condition affects you form)
b) Is it as intense?
c) and with reviews, are F2F assessments done (as with the initial stage) ?
d) For claimants with permanent conditions, are there anyway to avoid a F2F during the review process?
(eg, by stating that there have been NO change to your condition)
-assuming it is severe permanent disability they have)

a - It depends on the length of the award. An award of fewer than two years and some that are two years will require a new claim and will use a PIP2, most two-year awards and all that are longer will receive an AR1 Review form. There is a copy of this in the PIP area, however, the format is changing but is covered in the PIP Claim guide.
b - It depends, where a change has occurred then our recommendation is to complete it in the same level of detail as the PIP2, where no change has happened then a summary should be sufficient.
c - Yes they are although perhaps with less frequency although not significantly.
d - There are no guaranteed strategies, the decision to required a F2F is primarily dependant on whether there is sufficient information to make a recommendation to the DWP and secondly on whether holding a F2F would cause the claimant unreasonable physical or mental harm.
Reporting no change may reduce the likelihood of a F2F, certainly reporting a change increases it but we still regularly see claimants who have done this and still have to attend one.
