Hi
I’ve gone through my pip report again and it looks like I will get 12 points for mobility and 14 points for care. However the accessor says she recommends a review in 2 years , that doesn’t seem right to me as I have progressive MS and fibromyalgia. I hope the decision maker sticks with the points I’ve been given. Is there any chance the decision maker can decide to make my award longer ?. She didn’t entirely go by what I said - if she did I would have got 16 for mobility and 18 for care .

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

The Decision Maker is not constrained by the report but I think it unlikely that they will go beyond three years.
You can write to the DM about the recommended award length if you have a Progressive version of MS pointing out that your limitations can only get worse and a short award is not reasonable.

Hi Fran
I have just received my decision 28 points for care and 12 points for mobility and mine is for an ongoing period with a review sometime after August 2028 note sometime after and Iike you I too have Progressive MS.
2 years seems a bit short for me

Hello Fran
Yes the assessor recommended NO REVIEW necessary.
it was the decision maker what said for an ongoing period and to review sometime AFTER August 2028 hope this helps you, like I said 2 years seems low.
