I just wanted to let people know of a letter DWP have been sending out in regards to contributions vs income related payments. The DWP were ordered to bring those losing out on contributions related payments in to line with the income related. I filled in the form and sent it off. The payments are looked at going back to May 2012, and if you have been underpaid they pay back in a lump sum that isn’t calculated as savings. Well worth the effort if you are in this situation as I was.
