PIP: went 0 points to 19 after mandatory review...

Just received my PIP mandatory reconsideration notice after about 8 weeks waiting.

Initial PIP assessment:
Daily living: 0
Mobility: 0

Mandatory reconsideration results:
Daily living: 9
Mobility: 10

How is it even possible to go from zero to 19 points? Will there be any recourse on the initial PIP assessors who clearly submitted an assessment so far off the facts it amounted to gross incompetence... Something in the system seems to encourage these assessors to provide reports that can then be scored very low.

So 'I think' I'm back to where I started, standard rate daily living and standard rate mobility. However, when I first received my zero points failure notice, it stated VERY CLEARLY that my mobility benefits in regards to the car, for example free car tax had ended: However, the mandatory reconsideration notice made NO MENTION that these car benefits had been re-instated, so not sure if they have or have not? After the initial assessment failure, the car log-book was sent to the DVLA to be reclassified from disability to normal use, so I’m not sure if I can reclassify back? (If it can, what a huge waste of every-bodies time)

Secondly, and I've never been entirely sure on this one, is the benefit of having nation security credits towards your pension paid, should I be receiving these under PIP or is it and ESA benefit?

I would like to think I'm back to where I was before this whole mess started, but I can't help thinking that somewhere along the line the DWP will have covertly reduced my benefits.

Reading that youve been successful in getting your reconsideration done has given me some hope as I've just been reduced from enhanced rate to standard. My assessor lied throughout her report and now I've got to put this together. How did you do it? Do you have any tips? The whole process is very overwhelming.
