ESA work capability assessment

Looking for advice.
I am guardian to my younger brother who is 31 and has down syndrome. He lived with my mum until she passed away early last year. We have had nothing but issues with his benefits since.
Latest issue is we recieved form to reapply for his Esa (he actually gets this and sever disablement allowance plus pip) which we use to pay for his care and day centers.
So I completed form honestly as he physically can lift an empty box and walk more than 25 m, but I added he needs support when outside as he has no road sense. And will just sit down in road if he gets anxious or upset.
Next thing I know we get text telling us he has to travel to assessment centre 60 miles away from where he lives (with only a weeks notice) for a work capability assessment. I called Dwp but they appear to have lost my appointeeship details so won't discuss case with me.
Building in which he is to be assessed has no parking (according to the website) with nearest psrking 15 min walk away. I'm just want to know what to expect, and know if anyone has gone through anything similar. As it seems crazy to me. And I don't know where to turn.

Our ESA Claim guides have sections on the assessment and the question your brother is likely to be asked.

You do need to sort out your DWP appointeeship as you will not be allowed to speak on behalf of your brother at the assessment without it.
If there is a closer Maximus/HAAS office then you can try and re-arrange the appointment but you can only do this once and he must attend the appointment or you risk his claim being closed.
