Just had PIP tribunal last Thursday after nine months, wow they had decided after the Atos assessment which put me down to low mobility to award me high for both, which I was previously awarded under dla, the judge dr and disability advisor where amazing, very kind and also changed my award from two years to five years.

My only question is how do I claim nine months back dated carers allowance for my wife, plus pip etc.

Many congratulations on the result, well done.

It usually takes the DWP 5-8 weeks to process the results of a Tribunal, I would give them a call to make sure that they have received the Decision Notice.

As soon as the DWP confirm payment of your new PIP award your wife can make a new claim for Carers Allowance, backdating the claim to when the new award of PIP started.
