ESA backpay query

Hi Gordon,

ESA have just phoned to confirm almost £2,000 is going into my account next Tuesday.

Now as hard as I try, I cannot get this figure for the money they owe me for the three months or so after I had the Severe Disability Premium taken away after my PIP was stopped before I won the MR.

Is this possibly money from a few years ago - it's been in the news about money owed to loads of people. I said in a previous post that around 2010 I did'nt get any premium other than my basic ESA at the Support Group rate.

That would explain it if that's the case.

What I don't want is being paid money I don't qualify for and then having to pay it back.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for that.

The man who phoned me said he didn't have a full explanation of the money or a breakdown of what was what. All he said it was money owed from my PIP and Severe Dusabilty Premium being reinstated.

I asked the question: is some of it from all those years back? He said it could possibly be but did say a letter was on it's way with a breakdown. So will gave to wait.
