PIP was created by Tracey
Im new to this site and learning how to navigate round it.
I have just received my PIP review 24 page form,
can anyone tell me is a prosthetic classed as an aid or not ?
Read that it was included and classed as an aid.
Wondering how this is possible as an aid is something that can be picked up and used everyday, a prosthetic cannot always be used or worn, there are ovbious circumstances when it is not possible to be used ?
Am confused, does anyone have experience with this problem too ?
Thanks in advance for any comments

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

You need to be able to complete each PIP activity "reliably" and "on the majority of days", these terms are defined in our PIP Claim guide. So your ability to wear the prosthetic will have an effect on both of these terms.

I think a prosthetic would be an appliance rather than an aid as it replaces a bodily function rather than assisting in completing an activity.
