hi, this question may have come up before but i cannot find it,anyway receive pip for a set amount of years and i will reach my pension age soon, what happens with the pip. thank you in advance . freddey

As long as you continue to meet the criteria for an award then your PIP will continue, the only thing to be aware of is that once you reach State Retirement Age, your Mobility award cannot be increased, so if you don't have one then it cannot be awarded and if you have the Standard rate then you cannot receive the Enhanced rate even if you meet the criteria.

This has recently happened to me, just before I retired I had a review in which my mobility was reduced, I did didn't challenge it despite my worsening condition because of the damage to my mental health going to court causes me. had I realised I wouldn't be able to claim high rate mobility after I retired because you can't change upwards I would have to have gone to court to challenge it. they awarded mt 10 and 12 are required for the higher rate. I want to warn everybody about this I was nieve please don't you be
