Hi, a friend of mine got his medical last month, and has been put on ESA support group, recently he has moved house and has been forced to apply for UC due to a change of circumstances.. The form on-line states that he needs another medical to apply for UC. Is this normal procedure for migration From ESA to UC. Thank you.
He needs to inform his JC+ advisor via his UC Journal that he has an ESA award, unfortunately, the process of transferring his award is a manual one and can take a couple of weeks to be done but there should be no need for him to be reassessed simply because he has claimed UC.
