PIP FORM SUBMITTED 17 OCTOBER 2018 was created by Richard44
PLease can anyone help and offer advice.
I have MS and have been on higher rate mobility and standard rate daily living DLA since 2008.
I submitted my PIP claim on 16 October 2018 along with full supporting information and evidence . They acknowledged receipt via text on 17 October and have heard nothing since.Has anyone experienced such a long delay and does it mean I'm likely to be sent for an assessment or not please?
Any help would be greatly appreciated Many thanks Rick

I am not aware of any significant delays in the PIP assessment process at the moment, you can contact the Assessment Provider for your postcode for an update. See

Just to make you aware there was an article in the independent 11 September 2018 stating the clearance times for claimants moving to PIP from DLA has now risen to 13 weeks an increase of another week since April 2018 Mary Bulman investigating journalist independent. This may well be of use when advising others if you are asked again. I also found the word significant confusing and it would have been helpful were this to be quantified

There have been and are still significant delays in the PIP Decision process.
By significant, I mean a consistent two or more week delay in the time we would expect for part of the process to be completed.
