I'm not sure what to add to what you have already read. The assessor will be directing their questions at your wife, some will allow comment from a companion, others won't.
They will spend a lot of time typing on their computer, so it can be worth waiting until she has their attention again.
They like closed answers like "yes" and "no". If she has problems with an activity then she should think about answering in the opposite way to normal, so rather than saying "yes, I can do this but only when..." she should try "no, I can only do it when..."
Assessments can be anything from 40 minutes to about 80.
