Hi,

Is it the case that ESA will cease next April for those who receive an occupational pension higher than a certain amount? ie will the transition period end

As far as I can see going through the relevant legislation again, the date in 2020 only applies to the payment of any Transitional Payment. There is no general termination of the legislation so the clauses that amend the ESA 2008 Regulations in regard to payments, so as long the legislation is not revoked as a whole then as far as I can see the pension disregard remains in place indefinitely.

Dear Gordon,
I sent off my ESA50 in the end of February and received the decision letter yesterday. This was without a f2f and states that I will continue in the support group which is great news obviously. My last assessment was when I transferred over from IB in 2013 again without a f2f.
I rang dwp this morning and was told ( by a very pleasant lady) that my reassessment date was in 2030. This will be a few years after starting to receive State Pension so clearly it would only continue until then. She said that she had never seen such a date before. The decision letter was a standard one mentioning nothing about future reassessments.
My health issues are mental health and mild cognitive impairment issues.Have I been put into the "Severe Conditions Group" ?Have other members been given a date of 2030? I can't see anything about that date online.

Thanks for your help in the forum/ guides etc. I must have done something right!

If you had been exempted from further assessment then it would have said so on the Decision Letter.

I've never seen an 11 year review period before, hopefully, it will be honoured.

Many congratulations on the award, well done.
