ESA review awarded me back payments ..

Hello All. I filled in an ESA review form last November time.. had letter from DWP last week (Jan 2019) they have awarded me back payments... they don't appear to explain why!(other than under paying me).. My question is will this lump sum back payment affect any of my other benefits? ie Housing benefit, the ESA I get ....Council tax ? From what I've read if the back payment award is under £15k it's disregarded for 365 days is this correct? and/or if over £15k this is disregarded as long as my ESA benefit continues ...is this correct? Thanks Gordon...the back payment I received was awarded because the DWP make a mistake going back years! as described in the link you provided ... as I read it the back payment is disregarded until the end of the ESA claim...?.does the back payment affect other benefits such as housing benefit?.
