Pip Mandatory Reconsideration was created by djbantiques
While waiting for the PIP mandatory reconsideration does the decision maker HAVE to try and make contact with you by telephone to discuss the decision, or is it at their discretion ?
Many thanks.

There's no requirement for the DM to contact the claimant during an MR and it is extremely rare that they do.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

This goes against the advice in your PIP appeal guide then :
Decision maker’s phone call if the reconsideration goes against you
If this decision maker cannot change the decision in your favour they will phone you to discuss
anything which is unclear and may also ask you for further evidence which might make your
circumstances clearer. The decision maker will try 2 or 3 times to contact you by phone.

David
The guide is saying what should happen, I'm saying what does or in this case, does not happen.
