I have some fantastic news; after an incredibly difficult few months where I lost my DLA and wasn't awarded PIP thanks to a lying assessor, my mandatory reconsideration was successful and I have been awarded both components at the enhanced rate until 2020, and to top it all off, it turns out the DWP have been underpaying my ESA for almost 6 years, which has resulted in an almost £23,000 (yes you read that right, twenty three thousand pounds!) backpayment! I'm absolutely gobsmacked. I'm also now on the correct ESA, with the disability premium, which is significantly more than I was getting before, so good news all round. Thought I should share it, since I usually only have bad news to share ☺️
