Severe Disability Allowance was created by JF
I receive PIPS and I also receive ESA and in this is Severe Disability allowance which I understood is not means tested and would continue after I reach pension age in July. However DWP tell me I have to claim pension credit to get this allowance. Does anyone know if the DWP are correct. Many thanks to anyone who can give me some advice on this.

I think you may mean the Severe Disability Premium which is means tested.

Yes, it will only be payable if you are eligible for Pension Credit, it is only payable with an Income Related benefit such as ESA(IR) or PC.
