I don't know where you have heard this but it's not the case. Claimants receiving the Severe Disability Premium are barred from claiming UC but there is nothing related to the SG, this came into force from 16 January 2019.
Claimants will only be required to claim UC if they make a new claim for one of the benefits that now come under the UC umbrella.
