Hi all. Looking to see if anyone has an idea on outcome of esa assessment
Firstly, I’m furious that it was cancelled three times by ATOS, only being seen 1 hour late on fourth visit. They allowed me to attend each time, sending me home straight away. This is appalling and stressful. Can anything be done?
I spent 1 hour with the assessor. She focused on things that I honestly can’t see are relevant to esa. Such as washing hair, washing clothes, loading dishwasher. What on Earth do they have to do with going to work?? After this she said she needed advice from a superior as she didn’t think I was well enough to continue. She left the room for 10 minutes then came back to tell me to go home.
I have no idea what to make of the whole experience
Any thoughts anyone?

It's possible that that the assessor was talking to their supervisor about recommending you for the Support Group, we often hear other members report similar proceedings to you.
You can make a complaint to Maximus about the number of times you were asked to attend.
Complaining to the ESA Assessment Provider
An ESA Decision should be 4-6 weeks.

I have been in the support group since 2012.
Do you know anything about recent information I came across? I’ve read that dwp are calling esa sg to f2f as a “final check” sort of thing before they accept work is unlikely and that they’ll pretty much leave you alone. From the end of 2017 I believe
Although I’ve been sg I’ve always had a decision on paper and never had a f2f before so I’d like to believe it’s true.

That would be good but if I hold my breath anymore I’ll pass out!
I’m very sceptical about my outcome. The more I think about it the more likely it is that I’ll score zero and the reason she gave up was because there was nowhere to get any points
I got sg by making sure I fit a descriptor.
If anyone is interested it was mobilising.
I get dla high mobility and I paid for an assessment to prove that I could not manually propel a wheelchair. Black and white.
I resubmitted this information but obviously it’s old even though things haven’t changed. She did say she’d read it though.
Can this new “leave you alone” lark apply on reg 35 or just a descriptor?

It's not specifically excluded but I would be surprised if anyone was exempted on this basis, one of the underlying differences between the Substantial Risk Regulations and the ESA Descriptors is that there is no on-going assumption of disability which is really needed to be exempted.
