Preparing for PIP was created by Dug1
Hi I am preparing to apply for PIP after being on DLA indefinite award for more than 25yrs (29) I have had Rheumatoid Arthritis, 2 hip replacements along the way, from the age of 11 now 65, I also suffer from Ankylosing Spondylitis of the spine, I am concerned about gathering the medical evidence that I require as both GPs that new me best over the last 30+ years have left the practice, also the specialist I was under at the Hospital bone clinic has also left his position.
I was wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation and what can I do ?

Have you spoken to your new GP about the support that they can provide you?

Your consultant(s) should have written to your GP after each appointment, these should be part of your medical records at your GP surgery, you can request a copy of these, although you will need to explain why they are still applicable o your conditions as they are now.
