Applying for PIP when DLA is ending was created by lyndilou
Hi I have ahad a letter saying i need to apply for PIP as DLA is ending. I rang and answered some questions and the lady asked if they should take my DLA evidence into consideration so I said yes. That was a week ago still not had the PIP2 form She also said if they need andy information they may ring within 2 weeks, not sure why. Once the PIP form is sent off how long usually is ti before you hear anything, either to go for a f2f or home visit etc. Thanks in advance

Lynda
It usually takes 7-10 days, if you have not received it by mid-week then contact the DWP.

Sorry! The next stage is whether you need a face to face assessment or not, there are some delays in this part of the process so maybe 6-8 weeks for an appointment 2-3 weeks later.

Hi Lynda. I also said yes to evidence from my DLA. I would strongly suggest still sending in any evidence, even from DLA, as when I requested a copy of report nothing was quoted from DLA it was all based on the evidence I had sent in with the PIP form. Some of it was years old but it was still considered as x rays for neck arthritis etc is not going to change. Remember to photocopy everything you send so that you can refer back to it if needed. Completing several diary sheets off the B&W website also really supported my application in a positive way. Good luck.
