PIP award good. but lost points i shouldnt have. was created by Elaine Patterson
My question is is it possible to send information correcting some errors in the assessors report which lost me points i previously had and that still apply, whilst also making it clear i do not wish the award to be reconsidered or any such procedure as i received enhanced for both to be reviewed in 2 years. My main concern is the mobility award previously i received standard scoring 4 and 4 making 8 points although last time i felt i should of scored more than 4 for moving..This time i have scored 12 for moving around, walking but completely lost any points for planning, following a journey which i still have problems with, even more so now than it was last time. I do not wish to rock the boat but dont like the fact that it now looks like i can manage that ok when i cant and it makes me feel that the 12 points is very borderline without the back up of the other 4 points that were due..There were some false facts in the care section too but i scored enough points 21 for it not to be so borderline as what the mobility score is. I dont understand why they only give 2 years when my health conditions have been affecting my daily coping and mobility daily for over 25 years and is making me less able as time goes on, All my reports said i would continue to need treatment in the foreseabble future with no cure or improvement? I had an indefinate award with DLA.

You can write a letter but I will be honest and say that it is not going to make any difference, especially if you already have an Enhanced award.

When you are next assessed you can re-present your arguments for scoring the points and perhaps the result will be different.

Have you requested a copy of the assessment report, this may help you to understand why no points were given this time, if you haven't then contact the DWP office dealing with your claim.
