Old Medical Evidence was created by Susie
My husband has been invited to claim PIP (currently claiming DLA). The PIP1 paper version asks if there is any medical evidence from my husband’s DLA claim that might help them understand how his disability affects him. His DLA was an indefinite award in 2007. Does anyone know how long documents are kept please, as it says that old evidence may not be available? Many thanks

If he has a DLA Fixed Term award then the information may still be available, if it is an Indefinite award probably not.

Our recommendation is to always supply the information yourself rather than relying on the DWP retrieving it, that way you can be sure that it is available and can also integrate it into your answers on the PIP2, which you will receive next.
