On the assumption that no award was made then yes you can but doing so will result in a new Decision which will supersede any previous one including the one from your MR and if you go on to appeal, that one as well.
The MR and an appeal re-make the original Decision and apply from the same date.
As a worst-case example; an award is made from your MR but the new claim results in no award again, then it is the latter which will be carried forward although you would have a new right of appeal.
