Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
It depends on how old the letters are, you will certainly need to explain why they are relevant to your condition as they are now. I would also start a dialogue with your GP.
Our ESA guides are on the following
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/esa1
and our PIP ones
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/pip
If you have any more questions then please reply to this post and I will do my best to help.

Hi, I sent my PIP form for next day delivery on the 20th May. I live in Birmingham. How long does it take to get a ftf appointment if I need one? Thank you

Hi tban
It varies depending on where you live and whether or not you need a home assessment, if you need a home assessment then you usually need a Dr's letter stating the reason why you need a home assessment but it can take over 8 weeks for a ftf. Remember that if it is a renewal, then your existing claim will still be paid until DWP makes an adverse decision, at that stage your claim will stop even if you request a mandatory reconsideration and then appeal.

It still applies, whilst waiting for an assessment from DLA to PIP you will still receive your DLA until PIP has been assessed, I have known claimants to have been waiting months, for those claimants receiving low rate care and their condition has worsen then we would discuss with them the possibility of chasing up their renewal claim, as they could be much better off but we warn them that they may loose what they already have.
