"Disability Premium" Eligibility was created by tronaldodump
According to www.gov.uk/disability-premiums-income-support/eligibility
"If you do not qualify, you may still get the premium if you’ve been unable to work for at least a year."
Does anyone know what "may still qualify" means here? How is eligibility decided? I'd like to know how a person out of work for over a year but not in receipt of one of the listed benefits can qualify?
Thanks in advance!

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
What benefit would the Premium be paid as part of as the rules are different?

Hi Gordon,
Thanks for replying. I'd like to know about the disability premium as an addition to ESA. In particular, when someone isn't claiming any of the listed benefits in the gov.uk link I attached, but has been "unable to work for over 1 year."
Thanks again

The Disability Premium is not payable with ESA it is replaced by either the WRAG component if payable, or the SG component,
