Calling for assessment report was created by louisagolding
Hi all, I had my assessment a week ago, and called DWP today to get a copy of the assessment report, but they haven't received it yet, I thought they normally received it a couple of days after the assessments? Or was I wrong?
Thank you

They should. Check with the Assessment Provider why it has not been submitted, it could have been selected for audit.

Thanks Gordon, I just spoke to Capita and he said it went off yesterday to DWP, and said it would take 7-10 days to reach them. I didn't bother to question it, I'll just call DWP in a couple of days as they should have it by then shouldn't they?

Hello Gordon, I got my text message yesterday to say DWP have received my report. I called up this morning to ask for a copy, which she said she has now put in post, but she also said to bear in mind it might not be the right report! When I questioned it she said sometimes the case manager will send the report back if they don't like something in it and that capita could change it? I've never heard this before, is she right?

If the Decision Maker has queries over the content of the report then they can ask for further comment, it is unusual for this to happen but not that unusual.

I have received my assessment report today. There are quite a few mistakes in it. She fortunately has recommended 12 points for moving around which is correct, but has majorly under-played my anxiety and depression, claiming my mood is normal as I don't have any specialist input at the moment. I have had in the past and am currently on a very long waiting list to see a clinical psychologist. She says my mood appeared normal at the assessment despite the fact I was having a panic attack when she walked in the door and was crying through the whole thing. She also said I didn't appear fatigued, and said I did lots of physical things like stand, touch my knees etc when she didn't even ask me too. For this reason she said I was capable of cooking a meal with aids, despite my husband telling her he did all of the cooking due to my chronic fatigue and pain from fibro and osteoarthritis, and also lack of motivation. She also contradicts herself a lot throughout the report. I did submit several letters from GP, consultants and physio all stating my anxiety and depression are severe. Problem is I've never really told them how much my anxiety and depression affects my daily living and going places, and now if I ask them to write another letter to support a MR should the decision reflect the assessment report, I don't want to make them feel I'm putting words into their mouths by telling them everything now! Is there any chance the decision maker will read my evidence and award me more points than the assessor recommends?
The fact that I may have to go down the MR route to gain 3 points (she recommended 9) for daily living is already daunting.
Sorry for the long message
