Greetings:
Re: 1 of the latest News Items Benefits and Work : thanks:
From Friday, new claimants to PIP whose review would have been scheduled after they had reached State Pension age will receive an ongoing award with a light touch review at 10 years.....
1. Is this another version of A Rudd's speech from March 19 those on PIP?
Or
2. Is/Has anything changed or in planning for to those persons of pensionable age which is
now now over 65 and 1/4 and others who reached 65 post 9 4 2013 age 66 67 68 69 70 and 71 years of age,
and still not "Invited" over to PIP (since 2015 ) and are still on DLA ?
and
3. This step means new claimants to PIP who reach State Pension age before their review is due won’t have one unless they tell us their needs have changed, and the next step is to bring this in for all pensioners
Does "new" mean those " actual pensioners " on DLA yet to be" invited to PIP "due to date cut off of 2013
Thank you very much Apples6

1. It's a result of Amber Rudd's statement, it is an operational change not a legislative one so
2. this continues unchanged
3. Not exactly, if it is decided that the reassessment date for an award of PIP for a new claimant, this includes claimants being transferred from DLA, would be past their State Retirement Age, then an On-going award will be made instead of a fixed term one.

I have yet ( & do not necessarily expect to understand all DWP speak missives)
