Blue Badge

Just to inform people:
My request for renewal on my Blue Badge was rejected because i only had 4 points on moving around but 12 points on planning and following a journey. I did some research and the criteria is changing on 30th August and if you have 10 points on planning and following a journey you will qualify for the badge.

Thats not quite correct.
for automatic entitlement
anyone who is awarded categoty (E) Cannot undertake any journey because it would cause overwhelming psychological distress to the claimant

For categories (d) Cannot follow the route of an unfamiliar journey without another person, assistance dog or orientation aid. 10 points
and
(F) Cannot follow the route of a familiar journey without another person, an assistance dog or an orientation aid. 12 points
You could be called in for a further assessment by the issuing authority and it is down to the councils discretion

You may be right , but they informed me that if i had 10 points or more i could reapply. I did have to fill in a new application and explain all my difficulties and give information on my medication and hospital/doctors appointments.
