I think I posted a question in the wrong place as I cannot see it. My query is - I have been told by both the DWP and CAPITA (3 different people) that I can postpone the face to face assessment (once) in order to try to obtain more evidence to request a paper based assessment. Someone has now told me that "oh they say that, it is not in writing, when you ask they will say no, put him down as a no show and stop his benefits" the web page also says one postponement is allowed, so who is right? What should I do? Any help would be appreciated .
It is true that you can ask to postpone the face to face assessment on one occasion. If a person does not turn up to the second date offered then the benefit would be stopped. Obviously, there is no guarantee that you will be given a paper-based review.
