Hi gordon, i just have a quick query regarding my daughter receiving an ESA3(BRD). She migrated from incspacity benefit to ESA in 2008 yet i noticed on her letter from the DWP that they only mention the period between nov 2011 and nov 2012 so im curious as to why the period 2008-2011 is not covered and also the period 2012-2019. My daughter has been on this benefit ever since the migration in 2008 and her circumstances have remained the same. Many many thanks for your time and all that you do x

This is about the DWP's failure to pay Income Related ESA to claimants who were transferred from IB to ESA.
The period for 2008-11 is not covered as this is in regard to ESA payments and your daughter would not have been on ESA during this period.
The one for 2012-2019 I can't explain, is it possible that she was moved to ESA(IR) at the end of 2012? Failing that, she should query it with the DWP.

Thank you for taking the time to reply gordon but as far as i am aware my daughter was moved from incapacity benefit very early onto esa either 2008/2009 so i am not sure why there is a gap between these years and 2011 unless for some reason the first 3 years are not counted?
