Hi, I have just received a letter calling me for a health assessment in one week. I'm in ESA support and have a pip award until 2022. I've not received either a esa50 nor pip renewal form. This has sent me to panic and I feel they just want to fail me and switch me to UC. Are they even allowed to do this ? How can I delay it, it's freaking me out! Thanks Sarah
There is no legal requirement for a form to be issued as part of either an ESA or PIP assessment.
Who is the letter from? If Maximus or CHDA or HAAS then it is for ESA, if IAS or Capita then it is PIP.
You do have the option of completing an ESA50 if time allows or of writing a letter explaining your current limitations in a format similar to the ESA50 or the PIP2.
You also have the option of cancelling the current appointment providing it is considered to the first one sent but you will have to attend the new appointment whenever and wherever is arranged for,
