I have just been through my second assessment with aria . Two years ago I was successful after a tribunal to award me high rate pip. I would like to know do atos get paid for their failings (sorry results ) straight after the assessment even though their decision was wrong are init until the tribunal is is finished . If that is the case they get paid before a tribunal hearing it makes their success rate inaccurate.
The Independent Assessment Services (IAS) formerly known as ATOS and CAPITA are the two firms with which the government has contracts to deal with PIP. The size of these contracts are public knowledge but operational details such as the one you mention are not.
