I received the letter saying my DLA would end and inviting me to make a claim for PIP. I phoned them, received the forms and after being granted an extra two weeks sent the completed forms back with medication lists and many care plans. I am diagnosed with bipolar, agoraphobia and a panic disorder and have difficulty just answering the phone from numbers i dont recognise and also problems going outdoors. I detailed all this on the forms that were sent back.
I have missed some calls on my phone (after taking a large amount of anti-psychotic medication and Valium i really cant coordinate or talk)
Is it possible my claim will be cancelled or will they still make a decision on the information i have already sent to them (including the claim form, medication lists and care plans)
There's nothing in the transfer process that requires a phone call, everything that is important has to be notified in writing, so I would not worry.
Whether your claim can be progressed without them seeing you I can't say, your information would have to be compelling to avoid a face to face we would normally expect a GP letter to be required at the very least.
